Join The Revolution

Will you join the revolution? That’s what the children want to know. Will you grab the seeds and shovel and meet us in the field?

Kiss the earth with each foot step.

Deep inside of you is a dormant seed.

Your roots are revolution roots. They are vibrant and resilient.

Your leaves are deep green, they soak up sunlight and give back life force.

Your bark is scared but strong.

Your flowers, they sing the song of joy and beauty. They bloom and then decay, but they always return.

This is the revolution of the soil. This is the evolution of the soil.

Fight with seeds, by growing, harvesting, eating and giving.

This revolution you can share with your neighbor, friend, family, stranger.

This revolution is of cycles. Of movement and stillness. Of planting and harvesting.

Will you join us there beyond the trees?

The pollinators are excited by your blooming. Your roots are reaching down. Pulling your feet just a little deeper into the earth.

Your leaves pull you just a little closer to the sun.

Join us. In the back yards, the fields, the farms and the city lots. Here we are fighting our peaceful battle. Feed the people. Replenish the soil. Grow, give and receive.
