The Garden Grove Police Officer Needs a Serious Reality Check for Assaulting a Homeless Man While on Duty

A story about how the depraved was victimized by a senseless police officer

The homeless people are people too, they just lost their way due to personal, social, emotional or financial issues. Today, according to online statistics 580,466 people have experienced homelessness in the United States on a single night in 2020, an increase of 12,751 people, or 2.2 percent, from 2019. So as we can see the population is growing. Every problem has a solution but beating them up is not the key or the answer.

Justice is being served and rightfully so. The Garden Grove police officer who assaulted and threatened a homeless man is being charged in two separate incidents from last year.

Makes you wonder how many other assaults on the homeless there may have been at the hands of this same said police officer but he did not get caught or was shielded from punishment, (qualified immunity).

This said police officer is Kevin Dinh, a 12-year veteran with the police department and was charged by the Orange County district attorney’s office with four misdemeanor counts of attempted criminal threats, two misdemeanor counts of battery and two misdemeanor counts of assault or battery by a public officer.

If found guilty on all counts, Police Officer Dinh could face a maximum sentence of four years in jail according to the prosecutors.

Hopefully, this will set the example for others police officers to stop, be deterred or reframe from such cruelty to another homeless person or anyone for that matter. .

On September 20, Officer Dinh and another officer were dispatched to a restaurant regarding a complaint that involved homeless people refusing to leave from in front of this business. In accessing the climate and issue, Officer Dinh struck the homeless man on the head, allegedly twisted the…
