In Between

The moments.

In between the moments
that separates my aspirations
Pensive contemplation comes
and sorts out my sensations.

Ideas lost or not thought of
And different inclinations
New ways of seeing information
Leanings and intentions.

Some thoughts of different sorts
are sometimes put on hold.
Depending on how I’m feeling
And change as I grow old.

In the end, the essence.
Are the nous and intuition
That guides me down the path
Towards the right decision.

In between the moments
Of committed discipline
I seize the opportunity
To move my mood routine.

In the garden, birds arrive.
To shelter and test
The environment they choose
For the place, they nest.

Watching nature in action
It reminds me there’s a choice
To be mundane or listen
To the sound of my voice.

Deep inside my cluttered mind
Beyond the heat and cold
In between the moments
I embrace the brave and bold.
